JUNIOR 3D CHARACTER ARTIST

Job Description

Your main responsibility will be to create 3D Character models.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Create stunning 3D character models for a real-time game environment.

• Ensure assets are technically optimized for game production learning our internal tools.

Skills & Requirements:

• Experienced with 1+ years of industry character creation production.

• Demonstrate a moderate understanding of human anatomy, clothing construction (wrinkle behavior), proportion, silhouette, and topology, and how it relates to rendering and deformation.

• Moderate in high-fidelity 3D modeling / sculpting techniques, along with high-poly to low-poly surface/detail baking.

• Experience in modeling and texturing Characters using 3DS Max, Maya or Zbrush.

• Knowledge of sculpting human anatomy, shape, light and form.

• Understanding of modeling game topology.

• A good understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to modeling.

• Moderate polygonal modeling skills- able to generate clean and efficient models

• Familiar with next generation asset creation pipelines and tools.

• Understanding of physically based shaders.

• Experience with a Unreal Engine 4.

• Able to effectively collaborate with game designers and programmers.

• Good communication skills—able to help others and ask for help when needed. Being proactive in sharing info and assets

• Great team-player attitude—being flexible with new ideas, being open to direction and changes. Listening to team mates

You’ll really catch our eye:

• 3D Character work experience in film or games. Experience in commercial game engines such as Unreal or Unity is a plus.

• Experience with Photoshop, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance Painter.

• Love and passion for video games.
